We wanted to ensure our German Shepherd puppy grew up calm, confident and fitted in happily with our family. Our breeder from Heisenberg kennels suggested we reach out to Tama at Iron K9 and we are so glad we did.  With a practical in-depth understanding of canine behaviour, he helped us through those difficult first weeks and gave us the tools to continue our journey.  He came to our house for 1:1 sessions and didn’t leave untill he had answered all of our questions. Even though we’ve finished our original engagement, we will continue to rely on Tama going forward.

I sought out Tama from Iron K9 Training to help me work on Moa's reactivity towards other dogs and we both absolutely loved the training. Tama was wonderful with Moa, appreciating his unique and strong character and gave use useful advice and hands-on training that I could then continue with once the sessions finished.

Tama tailored his approach to Moa specifically, taking into account that all dogs behave similarly and tweaked his methods until we found ways to engage Moa and work with him in a playful yet effect way which was wonderful as being a GSD/Husky X, he can always have a mind of his own and is not as food or play driven as other breeds. I would highly recommend Tama to anyone looking to work with their dogs to build stronger bonds and manage certain behaviours, as it won't only benefit you in the long run, but I have no doubt your dogs will love him!

I approached Tama because I knew several dog owners who had great results working with him. My English cocker spaniel, Tom, had challenges due to my inconsistency, causing stress and noise at home. We'd read everything online, watched videos - but we recognised we needed tailored support . Tama helped us both with issues like pulling on the lead, anxiety with people, protectiveness, reactivity, and barking. After just a few sessions, I learned the basics to support Tom effectively. As a first time dog owner it became very apparent that I needed help to train my Bernese mountain dog to have manners that allowed us to be good citizens when we are out in public.  Tama provided me with the foundations and support to teach Hudson the basics of loose leash walking, and how to be neutral around people and dogs but most importantly the need to be consistent.  Tama is also kind when the main issue is actually the owner and not the dog.

A massive part of dog training is actually coaching humans. Tama is a great communicator and is very clear in his instruction. He is genuine and approaches his canine coaching with patience and kindness. 
 
He gave me back my confidence after it had taken a big knock. He followed up his walk and train service with one or more text/voice/video messages so I knew where we were at and could follow the same lead he was setting, so there was consistency in our approach. I was never left hanging. And I believe this is why we got results so fast..clear communication that resulted in consistency.
